Mitko Zhelezarov /BG

Mitko Zhelyazkov is a Bulgarian artist whose labels that people define his art are not of great importance. He graduated in 1994 from the Academy of Fine Art Sofia, Bulgaria and then from the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague, the Netherlands. He has over 100 exhibitions, and his works are located worldwide in over 20 countries.

Mitko’s work goes through the techniques of acrylic, oil, paper and collage. His paintings can be distributed in any division of the fine arts. Still, for him, it is of the utmost importance that they affect the viewer directly without imposing unnecessary divination and reflection on the content.

For Mitko, the most valuable thing when he finishes a piece of art is to bring the positive feeling of life and take it to people’s homes.

Awards: First Prize -1990, Plovdiv –“Business Association of Plovdiv”, Bulgaria – black and white drawings. Special award-1996, Seul, Korea – miniature oil paintings. The prize for tempera on paper – 1998, Sofia – Union of Bulgarian Artists. First prize -2002, International Art Collages, Paris. His works can be found in private collections in Bulgaria, Greece, Holland, Germany, Korea, the USA, Belgium, Cyprus, France, England, Finland, Hungary, etc.
