Born in Scotland and brought up in the rolling hills of Somerset, UK, Emmy Lopes is an illustrator who graduated in Fine Art at the University of the Arts London and Universidad Complutense de Madrid. She likes spending time in wild places, and mother nature is her muse, and much of her work features plants, animals or tells a story of our relationship with nature. She works in watercolor, gouache, collage, and sometimes even marine debris to focus our attention on the natural world and our place within it.
