Caroline Navarro is an acclaimed artist exhibiting worldwide. Her origins are from Guernsey in the Channel Islands but brought up in Malta, and her life by or at sea marks her characteristic style of expression. Her vibrant acrylic paintings often represent days in harbours & ports or catching the enthusiasm of regatta.
At the age of 19, Caroline travelled to Australia, where she studied Fine Arts at the National Art School in Sydney. She takes part in a mural project of the embellishments towards the Sydney 2000 Olympics. This participation boosts her career and led her to be chosen as the artist to represent Malta as part of the CHOGM (Commonwealth Head of Government Meeting) in 2002, which included a travelling exhibition around the main Australian cities.
Her paintings are Malta-inspired and emphasize her passions for yachting and sea life. She exhibited in Australia, New York, London & Paris. She has completed a trophy commission for Rolex, taken part in Art Auctions, and represented Malta in an Art Symposium in Italy, where her work still hangs in the Pescara Contemporary Art Museum.
Caroline has taken part in several collectives, exhibiting her maritime-inspired paintings in St. Tropez and another at the Maritime Museum in Malta as part of Valletta European Capital of Culture.
Since 2018 Caroline has been working on several bodies of work on Mallorca & Ibiza and, more recently, the quaint Dutch cities of Gouda & Deventer. She is exhibiting her Dutch work at present in Gouda as part of the candlelight festival.
